Australian Partner Organisation Position Description Pharmacy Mentor
Work at a highly respected clinic
Live in Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste
Bairo Pite Clinic (BPC) was set-up in 1999 to serve the immediate needs of a population affected by the violence of the Indonesian withdrawal and is now an NGO health clinic that provides free health care services to those in need.
The MoH recently withdrew their staff from the BPC to open a new clinic in a neighbouring area.
BPC has now recruited a recently qualified Timorese Pharmacist (trained in Korea). He is working hard to introduce systems for appropriate storage, ordering and forecasting of pharmacy needs, however he lacks experience and needs support and mentoring from an experienced Pharmacist.
The successful applicant will hold relevant qualifications and will be able to demonstrate a background in pharmacy management in a community based clinic. You will also experience in a developing country context and/or demonstrated understanding of challenges and issues faced in pharmaceutical services in this context.
For enquiries, contact Sean Lynch on 61 3 9279 1832. All applications must be submitted online.
