Looking for a Human Resources role with huge reach? CARE International in Timor Leste (CITL) believes that effective HR functional support and management is essential to the overall value of their work in Timor Leste.

CITL implements poverty reducing programs in a range of sectors, including livelihoods, governance, education, health, and community-based adaptation to climate change. CITL’s mission in Timor Leste is to reduce poverty and social injustice through the empowerment of women and their communities. CITL currently employs 160 staff throughout its offices and field programs.

Improved HR will enable CITL to have greater impact by being more effective, through increasing staff engagement with more supportive and appropriate policies, with stronger performance management and professional development opportunities. You will also help the HR Team and Gender Working Group to apply the CITL Gender Strategy to the Country Program, thereby enabling CITL to have more impact in the realm of women’s empowerment. This will allow CITL to more effectively build women’s empowerment through their programming: supporting women’s equality in areas such as decision-making, access to key services and resources. Additionally, you will promote the continual application of a ‘gender equality’ lens to all HR systems and processes.

This role will not only internally strengthen CITL, it will also impact women’s equality and empowerment in the community.
