Cardno Emerging Markets is seeking a Junior Professional Economist to support the Governance for Development (GfD) program.
Through the GfD program, the Australian Government is assisting the Government of Timor-Leste to implement its Strategic Development Plan by working with central agencies to improve systems that are most important to economic management and service delivery.
GfD is supporting the Office of the Minister of State Coordinating Economic Affairs (MECAE) to develop and implement the government’s economic reform agenda.
The Junior Professional (JP) Economist will work alongside an International Economic Adviser in the MECAE’s economics team, and will undergo on-the-job training and institutional familiarisation with a view to increase her/his proficiency as an economist over time.
Applicants should have a graduate or tertiary qualification in economics or other relevant area.
